Pricing questions
How do I get started?
Create an account with your company name and choose your own web address. You start straight away on a 30-day free trial of Growth, no card needed. You choose a plan when you are ready, and nothing is charged until you do.
What happens when the free trial ends?
We email the owners a week, three days and one day before. If you have not chosen a plan by then, your account becomes read-only: you can still sign in, look at everything and download your data, but nothing can be changed until you choose a plan. Nothing is deleted, and you carry on exactly where you left off as soon as you subscribe.
Do I pay for each person on my team?
No. A plan is priced for your whole company, and you can add the staff you need.
Can it remind my clients of appointments by email or text?
Yes. Clients are reminded two days before and on the morning of a visit. Email reminders are on every plan and go out from your own address with your logo. Text messages are on Growth and above, with a monthly allowance and blocks of extra texts you can buy, which never expire. Texts are not sent during the free trial.
Is it only for cleaning companies?
No. You choose your trade when you sign up, from cleaning, plumbing and heating, electrical, building, property maintenance, garages, landscaping and hairdressing, or Other for any small business, and the product uses your trade’s words.
Is it accounting software? Can I record my bills?
You can record your bills and expenses on Growth and above, with the VAT, a photo of the receipt and the supplier, and see what each job cost. It is a record to hand to your bookkeeper, not accounting software: it does not do double-entry bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, payroll or VAT returns. See purchases and costs.
Is VAT included in the prices?
Prices are shown before VAT, which is added at the standard rate.
Who receives the money when my clients pay online?
You do. You connect your own Stripe, PayPal Business and GoCardless accounts, and clients pay on those providers’ own secure pages. Sales Base never holds your money. See online payments.
Can I bring my existing clients across?
Yes. On Growth and above you can import clients and their properties from a spreadsheet, matching the columns as you go. Clients already in Sales Base are never duplicated.
Can I change plan later?
Yes, in either direction. Changing plan never deletes anything you have added. If a feature is not in your plan, its page simply tells you which plan has it.
Is my data kept apart from other companies?
Yes. Every company has its own address and its own private data, and no other company can see it. Read more about roles and security.
What do I need to use it?
Just a modern web browser on a computer, tablet or phone. There is nothing to install.
