Cookie policy
Last updated 2 November 2026
A cookie is a small file a website puts on your device. This page says which ones Sales Base uses and why. It forms part of our privacy policy, which says more about how we look after personal data.
Your choice
The first time you visit this website you are asked whether to allow optional cookies, with equal weight to accepting and rejecting. You can change your mind at any time: Cookie settings.
The cookies
| Cookie | What it is for | How long | Needs your consent? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session | Remembers your session, and that you are signed in if you are. | Until you close the browser, or a short time after you stop using the service. | No, it is strictly necessary. |
XSRF-TOKEN | Protects forms from being submitted by other websites. | The same as the session. | No, it is strictly necessary. |
| Remember me | Keeps you signed in on that device. Only set if you tick “Remember me” when you sign in. | Up to 400 days, or until you sign out. | No, you asked for it. |
sb_consent | Remembers your cookie choice, so we do not ask again. | 1 year. | No, it records your choice. |
sb_ref | Remembers which affiliate sent you, so they can be credited if you sign up. | 60 days. | Yes. Only set if you accept optional cookies. |
The detail
We use the cookies the service cannot work without: one that remembers your session (and that you are signed in, if you are) and one that protects forms from being submitted by other websites. These are “strictly necessary” and do not need your consent, so they cannot be switched off. If you tick “Remember me” when you sign in, a third cookie keeps you signed in on that device for up to 400 days, until you sign out. It is only set if you tick the box.
The crew app also keeps, on the phone itself, a copy of today’s pages and any changes that have not been sent yet, so it keeps working without signal. This is part of the feature the person has asked to use, is removed when they sign out, and is not used for tracking or advertising.
We may also use optional cookies on this website, for example to see which pages are read, so we can improve it. Nothing optional is switched on unless you accept it in the banner on your first visit. Your choice is kept in a small cookie of its own (sb_consent) for a year. You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use optional cookies inside the signed-in service.
The one optional cookie we use is sb_ref, and only if you accept optional cookies. If you open a link from one of our affiliates (a link with ?ref= and a short code in it), it remembers which affiliate sent you, for 60 days, so that they can be credited if you create an account. It holds only the affiliate’s code, nothing about you, and the first affiliate who sent you keeps the credit. If you reject optional cookies it is not set, and the affiliate is only credited if you sign up straight from the link. We do not use it to follow you around the web or to show you advertising.
Other ways to control cookies
You can also delete cookies, or block them, in your browser’s settings. If you block the strictly necessary ones, you will not be able to sign in.
