Can staff ask for time off?

Yes. Anyone can ask for leave from the menu or the crew app, and owners and admins approve or decline it, with an email each way once your email is set up. Approved leave stops that person being put on jobs on those days and keeps them out of the suggestions on day routes. Leave is counted in calendar days, with no allowance or half days.
