Does it handle VAT?

Yes. If your company is VAT registered, VAT is added to your invoices at 20% and your VAT number is shown. The VAT on an invoice is fixed when you issue it, so changing a rate later never alters an invoice you have already sent. Net, VAT and gross are shown separately, and in the export for accounts. Amounts are in pounds.
